One of my goals for 2007!

Yesterday, in a bid to get fitter and relax more in 2007, I joined Wildmoor Spa. What an exhilarating experience, I didn't need much persuading! The place is brilliant, I can join a dancing class, try out some of the fitness classes and enjoy some 'me' time in the relaxation areas. Came home and cooked dinner. Had a fab evening listening to music, Robbie & James Blunt accompanied by smoked salmon bilinis, fish pie and raspberry dessert, woo hoo!

Oh So Cool...

Today has been the best family day! Met at mums and Greg, my cool dude bruv, bought the most amazing Lancashire cheese which tasted like Christmas pudding, wow! Kept everyone amused with the digital picture frame, what an inspired idea that was, and my chicken ceasar salad was amazing. As Marie said, it was just like the old days when we sat nodding off to the old family slide shows. Though this time we didn't need to sit in the dark so there was no excuse to fall asleep! Topped off the evening by calling in to see Fi and entertained her family with the abridged version of my diaries from 2006! I can tell they are jealous of my wild lifestyle.... really they are!

Strictly Elf Dancing Champion 2006

Happy Crimbo, it's Christmas Eve. What a week that was! Xmas lunches, fab Origin party at the excellent venue of the British Commonwealth museum on Tuesday. Met the girls for drinks beforehand at HDV. Wednesday was shopping in London and a wonderful evening at Just St James. More fab shopping at Selfridges in B'rum on Friday with a champagne lunch and canapés. Saturday was xmas tree buying (what a whoppa) with Rich followed by lunch at our fav Italian in Chelts. Had a fab time grazing the perfume dept in House of Fraser and Rich bought me my fav Swarovski crystal necklace I'd had my eye on in Hobbs. What a lucky girl I am.

One week to go!

This time next week will be Christmas Eve... woo hoo, my favourite festive day. I love all the preparation, the hype, the shopping for the best mince pies and pud. I love the lights on the trees in Cheltenham, the excitement of buying and decorating our tree, and the cheesy tv programs that are somehow addictive. I still have a couple of special projects to make, I have to write and send my cards (homemade of course!) all sealed with a sprinkling of love dust inside (how cheesy is that?!). Here's one of my tiny card ideas with love sealed inside a matchbox. Adorable, or what...?!

Two weeks of highlights...

The past couple of weeks have passed in a flash. Highlights include Katherine Jenkins concert in Cardiff with little bruv and yesterday, the Nutcracker ballet with Liz. Great performances and met some lovely people. Dance of the sugar plum fairy was superb, the choreography beautifully executed and the costumes extremely beautiful.

Here's my latest new trick...the youtube phenomenon...woo hoo! Merry and Sparkle Xmas...

Capturing the emotions...

Scrapping for me is about being creative. It's about passion and memories. When I create a new page, I want the finished layout to capture something that is very special to me. By layering the papers and photographs with the care that I take over all my layouts, I hope to seal in the emotions that I feel for that moment in time, that special person, a place or, in this case, my favorite shoes! I was so inspired by these amazing Nine West five and half inch heels, that I just had to scrap them.

I've used my favourite Basic Grey papers (naturally!). I've cut, layered and posterized the images to add depth. I wanted my layouts to convey that feeling of sexiness and the heavily textured ribbon, the key, the tags all add to the story of these FMS! I love the randomly stamped doodling and I've given the whole double layout an opulent feel by painting over the flowers, patterns and doodles with one of my favourite Ranger products, glorious Glossy Accents! The secret to this great layout is to get as good a buzz from looking at these pages as I do when I'm wearing these shoes. For me, it's perfect!

My first CYBERCROP!

How lucky am I? I've been invited onto the scrappad to join in with their cybercrop. You can guess who's here this weekend scrapping with me.. MGC! One exploding box... a great layout (I'll post on the slide show later) and to finish, some dizzy fun creating our own ads for artdoll layouts! And if you thought it was still only November, forget Xmas, I've just finished a set of Mother's Day cards for QC! How time flies when you're having fun.. X x for MGC

I'm the daughter of an ALIEN!

It was my dad's birthday this week, 82 fabulous years old! They say you can choose your friends but you're stuck with your family... I wouldn't change them for all the world! Love you all...X

I LOVE IT!

Scrapping, of course... my favourite basic grey papers, some glossy accents, a few beads and I'm away with the fairies. Just received some new basic grey papers, what is it about them that inspires me so much? I know I'm a paper junkie, and I only have to look at their paper to give me goosebumps. I never seem to tire of using them, they just inspire me! Today has been a great day for Top Shop! Isn't it great when you appear from the changing rooms elated because everything you took to try on looks great and fits! Hit the spot perfectly and am now the proud owner of 3 fab tops!

Wonderful open spaces...

Today is the first day of my butterscotch blog...

Just on a whim, I've created the first page of my new artgirl blog, woo hoo! I hope to fill it will some of my creative moments; some visual, some thoughtful and others just totally random. I love words and pictures (not so fond of numbers) and today is a good day for smiling about my seriously good friends and my ditzy family. BIG question of the week is why, when I know I should stop doing something, do I just carry on? And, what is it about the planet Mars that men love so much?! Thoughtful ponder... I'll get onto 'doing creative stuff' later, but today, I'm contemplating the screen before me and feeling very excited about my presence online... must go now to do some more wizzy stuff... catch you later... X
