Wild goose chase or was it really tea and carrot cake..?

Imagine the most idyllic little place that serves homemade cakes and pots of steaming hot tea. That's what I dream about when I'm on a journey and suddenly fancy a cup of tea and cake. We were driving over to Hay on Wye to pick up the tickets for the concert when we were both struck by the same thought.. tea and cake. Then there it was, a sign that said 'Abbey gardens' "They must have a tea shop surely" We drove for what must have been about 5 miles along country lanes, through villages and behind another couple of cars that seemed to also be on the great tea trail. Then there was the sign, the turning and we found ourselves in our dream. We only had time to stop for a cuppa and some cake and I'm sure it's not really there, just a mirage in our imagination. That's why I took more than one photograph to remind me that it was a real place, you can drive to it and it does serve the most heavenly tasting carrot cake :) yum.. !
