My old chum, Nigel Slater showed how to make a yeast-free bread on his programme a couple of weeks ago so guess what, I've been waiting to try it ever since. Today I found a window of opportunity and OMG.. it is amazing! For the first time in over 3 years I had a piece of bread and butter.. I was in raptures.. I think I've gone all evangelical.. Nigel Slater is my saviour! I cannot describe how it felt to have a simple meal of cheese on toast for my lunch.. mmm.. sublime.. :)
