Snap, crackle, pop and POW!

Hey who is POW, I hear you say... ? Truth is that in 1933, Illustrator Vernon Grant drew three elves and named them Snap, Crackle, and Pop. He took the characters to Kellogg's, who bought them on the spot to use with their rice crispies ads. Here's an ad taken from a 1933 Parents magazine! The story goes that there was a fourth elf character who was named Pow and who was supposed to represent the explosive nutritional value of Rice Krispies but as we all know, two's company, three's a crowd and four is positively OTT so POW went POOFH ;-) x they are still as yummy as I remember x
